\"Junior\" Kee Jr.
Ralph \"Junior\" Kee Jr., 67,
of Harrisonburg, died Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at Rockingham Memorial
Hospital.
Ralph was born Nov. 6, 1942, in Rockingham County, Va., and was
a son of the late Ralph Hencil Sr. and Wilda Fern Kee. He was also
preceded in death by a son, Chris Allen Kee.
He worked in law enforcement for 31 years, serving as a police
officer for the Elkton Police Department and later for the Rockingham
County Sheriff\'s Office. He worked in Linville at the Harrisonburg
Men\'s Diversional Center until his retirement in 2001. Ralph participated
in numerous organizations including the Masonic Lodge AFAM, Harrisonburg
Lodge 27 and Staunton Lodge No. 13. He was a member of the Blue
Ridge Good Sam\'s Camping Club, the Sons of Confederate Veterans
of Harrisonburg and Military Order of Stars and Bars.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Charlotte L. Shroeder
Kee. Ralph is also survived by one son, Michael Shannon Kee of
Harrisonburg; one daughter, Tina M. Shifflett of Harrisonburg;
a stepson, Timothy Ritchie of Iowa; three brothers, Douglas W.
Kee and wife, Sandra, of Elkton, William L. Kee and wife, Anita,
of Shenandoah, and Charles A. Kee and wife, Tamara, of Harrisonburg;
one sister, Paula Kee McDonald of Elkton; and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010,
at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg with Pastor Jeffrey
Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
