July 28, 2001, husband of Annakay Judson Hines. Residence, Charleston,
S.C. The friends and relatives of the Rev. and Mrs. James W. Hines,
Jr., are invited to attend funeral services at St. John's Episcopal
Parish Church, 3673 Maybank Highway, Johns Island, S.C., Wednesday
morning at 11 o'clock. Interment, St. John's Episcopal Churchyard.

GLENN MCCONNELL PARKWAY, CHARLESTON, S.C. The Rev. Hines was born
April 9, 1944, in Mansfield, La., the son of the late James William
Hines, Sr., and Parie Olive Hollingsworth Hines. He was the assistant
rector of St. John's Episcopal Church. He was also a professional
counselor with Dorchester Mental Health Services, active in Kairos
Prison Ministry, Cursillo, and marriage enrichment ministry. Survivors
include his wife, two daughters, Molly Marie Hines of Jacksonville,
Fla., and Parie Lynn Hines of Seattle, Wash., his mother, one brother,
Charles Hunter Hines, nephew, Hunter Hines, and niece, Lindsey
Hines, all of Montgomery, Ala. Reception will be held following
the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany
Christian Services, c/o St. John's Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 125,
